Job Description: This job demands proficiency in data gather as well as journalism know-how, and also beating deadlines and staying up late hours to finish the required stories.

What to expect: Clerical work and long hours gathering stories, following beats and staying in front of the computer. A lot of dead time in between is possible.

Competencies: Com11, Com12, and additional Com classes (especially for those who took the Communications track) will have an easier time blending into the environment, as they are provided with the skills such as working under pressure with minimal supervision.

Trick of the trade: Having a pleasing personality works. It is cliché and all but it really works if career advancement is in your mind.
